The BIG 3!! (Ashley's birthday)

Ashley turned 3 years old today! She had a great day and seemed to really enjoy everything we did. We kept it low-key (having a family party) because Disneyland was her present and we move one week from today. We had pictures of her taken in the morning and they turned out fantastic! I love the proofs we have seen. We ate lunch at Cheesecake Factory and spent the afternoon relaxing and swimming. Ashley asked for mac&cheese and chicken nuggets for dinner followed by Mickey and friends cupcakes with ice cream. I kept telling myself, "It is ok for one day out of the year" as she ate a mini cheeseburger for lunch, and then dinner followed by cupcake and ice cream. Not to mention the chocolate chip pancakes that Michael made in the morning for her breakfast. Yikes, but it is what she wanted!

This birthday was fun because she participated in planning for it. She wanted a Dora/Mickey Mouse theme, and it was awesome that she was involved in that way this year making it feel like her own birthday celebration because she chose things.


Ashley in her birthday outfit with Gymbo, the clown from her Gymboree class. Her birthday was the perfect time to give her a souvenir from her summer class and she has wanted one for a while; every time we go to class. She loved it!

So the "birthday girl" tiara and sash might be over the top but I couldn't resist. You can see the mix theme; Dora plate, napkin, and placemat with Mickey cupcake. She wanted them both!
